Silent Control in the Hidden Room
I had her belt unbuckled before the door finished clicking shut behind us, leather sliding through my fists with a low rasp that vanished under the thick press of air trapped in the narrow utility room. Nimue’s back hit the wall hard enough to rattle a row of stacked chairs, yet she made no sound, only the sharp catch of breath she immediately swallowed. My forearm braced across her collarbones, pinning her there while my other hand found the zipper and dragged the heavy satin of her bridesmaid skirt upward, crushing the fabric into a thick band at her hips under the heel of my hand. Heat rolled off her skin in waves, the sweltering closeness of the room concentrated and intimate between us.
Her eyes locked on mine, the strain of holding contact pulling them tight, the wet sheen at her lower lashes building under the pressure of not blinking, not looking away. I held that stare as I worked two fingers beneath the edge of her underwear and pulled the thin barrier aside. No words. The rule was mine, and she knew it. I pressed forward, the solid weight of my thigh sliding between hers, forcing her stance wider until the outside of my knee met the wall. The first slow push of my fingers met slick heat that told me she had been waiting all evening, exactly as I knew she would. Her lips parted, a tremor running through the muscle of her stomach, but she stayed silent. Good. The rule lived in the space between our mouths, unbroken for years because I had never once let it break.
I worked her with deliberate pressure, two fingers curling in the rhythm I had learned long ago, the one that made her inner walls flutter without ever letting her tip over. The full forward weight of my body held her flush to the plaster, the brace of my forearm and the thigh wedged between her legs the only anchor she had, leaving her no room to chase more friction than I chose to give. The room smelled of old linen and the faint citrus of her perfume mixed with the heavier scent of our skin. Every shift of my wrist dragged the heel of my palm against her clit in measured passes, and I watched the flush climb her throat while she fought to keep her breathing even. Her hands stayed flat against the wall on either side of her hips, fingers spread, because she knew touching me back would break the silence I had given her no permission to break.
Minutes stretched. The room sealed us in its own heat, the world beyond the door gone, nothing left but the tight, wet clutch around my fingers and the rasp of her breath. I curled deeper, feeling the give of muscle that had once taken me on a different night neither of us named. Her thighs trembled against mine. A single bead of sweat rolled from her temple down the line of her jaw; I tracked it with my eyes but did not lean in to catch it. The restraint was part of the punishment and the gift. She knew I could make this last until her legs gave out, and she knew I would.
When her breathing turned ragged enough to border on audible, I tightened the forearm across her collarbones, a slow press of warning that drove the half-formed sound back down her throat before it could betray her. Then I eased the pace even further, drawing my fingers almost free before pressing back in at an agonizing crawl. Her mouth opened on a silent cry, teeth sinking into her lower lip to trap what I would not allow her to give. I held her gaze, refusing to look away, letting her see exactly how much control I still possessed. Each incremental thrust now carried the full weight of my body leaning into her, the press of my hipbone against the bunched fabric at her waist, the unyielding brace of my forearm keeping her upright. The climax built in slow, grinding waves that I refused to let crest cleanly. Instead I rocked the heel of my hand in tight circles timed to the flutter of her pulse against my wrist, forcing her to ride each crest and valley while her eyes watered and her thighs shook around my leg.
She came in drawn-out pulses that I counted against my fingers, each one coaxed out longer than the last until her entire body bowed forward against my hold. Only then did I still completely, buried deep, letting the aftershocks ripple around me while the oppressive heat of the room settled over both of us like another layer of restraint. Her breathing gradually evened, though her eyes never left mine.
I withdrew my hand with care, smoothing her skirt down just enough to cover her before reaching for her left wrist. Lifting it slowly, I brought the delicate skin to my mouth and pressed my lips to the faint, familiar ridge of an old scar just above her pulse point. The kiss lingered, warm and unhurried, tasting salt and skin and the hard race of her pulse still hammering beneath my mouth. My thumb stroked once across the inside of her palm, an acknowledgment without words, before I lowered her hand again and stepped back, the contact breaking clean as the heavy air rushed in to fill the space where my body had been.
