Matchmaker’s Hallway Secret

Forbidden Love Small Dick Workplace Romance

Logan stood motionless in the narrow hallway outside Beth’s office, the single bulb overhead casting a dull amber wash over the scuffed baseboards. Beth’s fingers worked at the top button of his coat with a precision that felt rehearsed, her knuckles grazing the wool just below his collarbone. The corridor was tight enough that his wide shoulders nearly touched both walls, forcing her to stand close, close enough that he felt the warmth of her breath reach the exposed skin at his throat.

“Three consultations,” she said, not looking up, “and you’ve never once told me what you actually want in a partner.” Her voice held its usual composure, but her hands had gone still on the button. “Your file’s a wall of specifications. Height, income, hobbies. Nothing about what you want to feel.”

“I think you already know what I want,” Logan said. “You’ve had a professional theory about it for weeks.”

She didn’t answer that. She moved to the next fastening instead, and he felt the contrast in the silence between them: her ordinary shape pressing into the dip of his midsection, no soft cushion between her ribs and his belt, only the flat plane of her sternum grazing bone against muscle each time she leaned in. His waist gave under the coat with almost no resistance to her touch, nothing thick enough there to stop her from closing the last of the distance if she wanted to. The professional boundary they’d maintained through three meetings felt suddenly porous. He kept his hands at his sides, fingers curled against his thighs, every aborted impulse to reach for her sharpening the ache of restraint.

Her hand slipped once, a small stutter against the wool, and he caught it — not clumsiness, something closer to a nerve firing without permission. She recovered instantly, smoothed her palm flat, the mask sliding back into place. But he’d seen it. In three consultations she had never once let her hands shake.

“Careful,” he said. “That’s not very composed of you.”

“I’m always composed.” But her breath hitched on the word, audible, involuntary, and she pressed her lips together as if she could take the sound back.

Her palm flattened against his abdomen for a final adjustment, fingers splayed wide over the thin layer of shirt beneath the open coat. The contact sent a low pulse through him, and Logan caught her wrist before the moment could pass. She didn’t pull away. She stepped closer instead, her body settling into the space his frame carved out of the hallway, her chest flat against the inward curve of his waist, no give anywhere, just the hard press of two people with nothing to cushion the point of contact. Goosebumps rose along her forearm where his grip circled her wrist, faint gooseflesh that had nothing to do with the temperature of the hall.

He released her wrist slowly. She turned without a word, back to him, and placed both hands flat against the wall, the plaster cool enough that she flinched slightly at the first contact, a small shiver crossing her shoulders that she didn’t seem to have ordered. The motion tilted her hips into the space his shoulders blocked, and he watched the muscle along her spine tighten in anticipation before either of them had said anything else.

His hand found her hip. His other braced the wall beside her head. He was already straining behind his trousers, and when she reached back without looking, fingers finding his belt, unhooking it with a short, decisive tug, he understood the last of the careful distance between them was gone. She shoved her skirt up over her hips herself, bunching the fabric at her waist, and he freed himself enough to press against her, bare skin meeting bare skin as the coat slid off one of his shoulders and hung loose, forgotten, on the other.

He pushed into her slowly, no fanfare, just the tight give of her body accepting what he had to offer, modest as it was, inch by inch until she made a sound low in her throat that she clearly hadn’t planned on making. His chest curved over her, broad enough that it blocked what little light reached them, and she had no room to arch back against him, no room at all, so she pressed forward instead, her small breasts flattening hard against the cold plaster with nothing to soften the impact. He felt how little there was to grip along her waist, no real curve to anchor his hand, so he dug his fingers harder into the jut of her hipbone for leverage, holding her still while he found a rhythm he could actually keep, short and quick, working with what he had instead of against it.

He drew back and pushed in again, and again, her body yielding each time, her hips tilting to meet the angle he set, and the lack of length he could offer he made up in the grinding press of his hips flush against her, rocking rather than driving, so that the base of him dragged where it counted. There was no soft plane at her lower back to cushion that drag, just bone close to the surface, and he felt every one of her small shivers travel up through his palm. The taboo of it, client and matchmaker, burned brighter than the friction itself, some part of him still disbelieving that the contract between them had ever allowed for this.

Her fingers scrabbled against the plaster, nails dragging thin white lines she’d never be able to explain, and her breath came in short, broken pulls that she seemed to be losing the fight to keep quiet. Logan felt the moment her body stopped following any pattern he recognized. A wave of heat rolled through her, visible in the sudden flush crawling up the back of her neck, and right behind it came something else, a shudder that raced down her spine like she’d been plunged into cold water, gooseflesh rising along her arms though the hallway hadn’t changed temperature at all. Her whole frame locked.

She clenched around him in pulses that had nothing measured about them, wet and relentless, dragging at him with a force that stripped away whatever control either of them had left. Her back arched hard against his chest, her composed voice breaking into something raw and wordless, and the chills seemed to keep crashing through her even as the heat built on top of them, doubling the force of whatever was happening inside her body. He didn’t have time to understand it before it pulled him under too. He came in short, helpless snaps of his hips, spilling into her while her spasms kept milking him past the point he could have stopped, his thin waist offering no anchor against the force of his own release, his whole body curling forward over her instead, chasing the last of it with his forehead nearly dropping to her shoulder.

They stayed like that a moment, both breathing hard, her forehead resting against the cold wall. Then she straightened, smoothing her skirt down with quick, efficient movements, not meeting his eyes. He tucked himself back into his trousers and stepped back into the space his shoulders still filled, working the loose button of his coat back into place with fingers that weren’t quite steady, the altered contract settling between them like something neither of them intended to name out loud.
